In Mania, we watch the sidelines of a modern soccer game, on a Saturday, in the fictional Long Island town of Ronkonkossett. The light-hearted fun and rivalries devolve into a dark-comedy about vicious soccer parents, their disjointed relationships with their children and with each other. Oh, and a demon bent on reaping personal rewards in the afterlife.
With Mania, there are like two branches of development: the one in my head, and the one in the world. The one in my head remains separate from the materialization Mania recieves in the world. The world development began the moment other people read the script. Thus, let it be noted that the developments, revisions, and changes are all reflections of an idiosyncratic process within one own creative spirit hammering away on a script no one was asking for, on music no one was awaiting.
