In this phantasmagoria, a cast of workers in a classified document assembly company grapples with an array of issues: new hires, interpersonal competition, and the arrival of the most important case they've received to this date. All this set to a surreal, and often absurd, pace, which features stylized movement. A brave, multi-level, and visually combative set design.
From the text of The Friday Song...
⚫"LOLA. Ally and Craig, you two are certified children in all of our eyes.
CRAIG. I have a beard. Ally has a grey hair hiding next to her side part.
FIONA. There's no explaining it, Craig. We can't do without children here! Lola is our grandmother, and you are our children.
CRAIG. Lola is not my mother, none of you are my family, and we are all adults.
PETER. [With Astuteness] This is a classified document assembly company. Where are the children?
Everyone takes a pause to consider Pierre's statement.
SURU. If you listen, you'll hear it. They're just not here.
LOLA. Ally and Chris are here. We have Ally and Chris. They're children enough.
